EXCELLENT MOVIE!

to be honest with you, and i'm quite shocked as to why no-one else on this film's board thinks so, making me think perhaps i should make a new thread; i thought this film was appalling. well, okay, the film itself wasnt appalling, but the ending was fu***ing dreadful. it was so weak, and it totally ruined the entire film. it was like it needed another half an hour on the end of the film, to tie up loose ends. seeing esme's daughter just go on a school trip didnt do it justice at all. what happened to the story of her, the gun and her boyfriend? werent they supposed to be taking the gun on the school trip? wouldnt the film have been more dramatic and satisfying if instead of the daughter pointing the gun at esme in defiance and wanting to know who her dad really was, shouldnt she have waited and then shot some of her classmates on the school trip, or something along those lines? i know it sounds quite brutal, but it would have made much more sense, and tied in with what sabina said about esme's daughter of being mentally ill, and needed to see someone professional.
no, the ending was sh**e, and it ruined this film. xx.
