Hi, this movie looks very interesting..
Any chance of coming to a festival here in Europe?
How can I see this film if they don't plan to come to Europe?Anyones knows?
And secund question: any idea about how much that movie cost?
Because I don't think they will make any money...so just curious...looks like really well filmed, but I supposed did not cost a lot right?

I saw the filmmakers speak after a screening a little over a week ago. They did an audience Q & A, and they did answer some qu’s about the film’s release. While I’m no expert, it sounded like they were being really smart about distributing it…building buzz and already making some money off theatrical and booking more screenings. I think they only played at one festival, where they won a Best Film award. Instead of doing a bunch of fests, they opted to handle their own initial theatre stuff and make some money from ticket sales. So they already are starting to make money. The movie plays next month in Seattle again for a couple weeks, I believe. They wouldn’t give an exact answer to the budget question because they’re still in the distribution process. They did say it was under a million dollars. I’ll say it looked really good and with a lot of the stuff that was in it (don’t want to give anything away), I would’ve guessed it cost more. After theatrical, they said the movie would go to cable and DVD, so I’m sure if doesn’t go into theatres in Europe it will go to DVD there. Movie was really entertaining, btw. You'll enjoy when it does get to you.

Yes it does look good...less than 1 million dollars is really not expensive at all when you see the trailer...Hope it comes in Europe as a dvd...
But how are they going to make money if they don't release it nation wide?
Because the screens they did at the festival and in Seattle, I have seen that movie theatre, one ticket is so cheap, like 5 box...they get what?3 box?
They will screen it there maybe 50 times?I mean..That is nothing, right...
How are they going to get back their million dollars investment?
Cable and dvd?It pays that good on the cable and from dvd's?I don't think so....I think you should make at least half back of your investment on the movie theatre..

Typically I think the numbers for box office gross are 20% or less of a film's total earnings. I don't think those numbers are accurate for 4-walling or what the producers of GPS are currently doing. They are probably going to make less than 20%. But I don't think they expect to earn that much. If they can make enough to pay what they are spending on their self theatrical distribution, I think they are doing pretty good. What they are doing is building a greater interest in the film to push the DVD sales which is really where they stand to make their money. And if they can get VOD, Cable and other ancillary markets they could make well over their budget.
I worked on the film and I can say I had a great time. I met some terrific cast and crew members, people I still work with and keep in touch with today, even though I live on the opposite coast. Unfortunately I have not seen the movie. I long for a screening here in my neck of the woods or even a screener copy.
