Sean going to a japanese school.

Is it possible to go to a japanese school without speaking japanese? How did he manage to do that?

reply

It was most likely some kind of International School.

reply

That did not look like an international school. Classes were conducted in Japanese and Sean didn't know Japanese. Makes no sense. There was only one other non-Japanese student in his class--Neela. And she spoke Japanese.

Oh, and Bow Wow was in the school also somewhere, wasn't he? Just not in Sean's class.

If Sean's father was military (implied but never confirmed) why didn't he go to a base school? And why didn't they live on a base?

reply

I was wondering the same thing.

reply

No it isn't. It was completely ridiculous. He spoke zero Japanese and it was clear that the teachers did not speak English (as very few people in Japan do).

Also, the chances of bumping into two other non-Asian people on your first day in a Japanese school are laughably low. Less than half a percent of the population aren't Japanese, Korean or Chinese.
