What a shame. Could have been a good western

I think the story was a good idea, but the director really never gave you a sence of where the characters were in their journy. They seemed to know, but the audience was lost. There seemed to be no care taken at all as to the authenticity of the language and pronunciation or even a hint of originality in the diolog. The burst of "F" words midway through the movie served only to distract. Most of the lines sounded like someone already commented, "they had been read off a que card". There were also so many distractions it was hard to stay with a story set in the old west i.e. a lot of scenes with jet con trails in the sky. The clincher, though, was in the very last scene when the ladies were riding away, bidding farewell to the sheriff and you catch a glimps of modern, white, pop-up, sun shade in the left side of the screen (must have been used by the film crew) "oops". It seemed like the foremost objective on this movie was "shoot every scene with only one take". Oh yeah, the score was dull at best. Sad that a script, or at least an idea, of a halfway decent western was sqandered like this.
