Are girls this dumb in real life? not only did Jakie go after a guy who was engaged but he was a real loser, I mean he got drunk before the big contest and, to me, seemed that he was only skating to get the free trip to where every it was they went.

The thing is, she liked him before he was engaged so.....
and yes, it was wrong of him to get drunk but....his habits didn't screw them up, that time.
