more information?

Can anybody tell me more about this project? All I know is that it's meant as a MOW for ESPN. Is this based on a true story? Any hints as to air dates?

reply

yes it is based on a true story. Filming was completed on July 15 '05 and as far as air dates go i've heard either Nov or Dec of this year.

reply

Thank you...I thought it was based on a true story. The airdate the IMDb has listed now is December 10th.

Heres a little more info on the movie. its from Corey Sevier Official site

I dove into the role of ‘Bob Blaik’, the real life quarterback of the prestigious West Point Military Acadamy’s all-star football team. A period piece and true story, the film takes place in the 1950’s, and revolves around the scandal that shocked America when over 90 West Point cadets were exposed for cheating at the academy; an institution which prided itself of the motto, “Honor, Duty, Country” … “A cadet never cheats, lies or steals”.

On top of the filming, I had the opportunity to train with professional football players and real life military cadets for the very intense role. Veteran actor, Scott Glenn (Silence of the Lambs, Backdraft, Training Day, The Hunt For Red October) played my father and West Point’s Army team football coach, Earl ‘Red’ Blaik. Zachery Ty Brian of ‘Home Improvement’ plays a fellow Cadet in the film.

The movie will be premiering on December 10th, 2005, on ESPN.

My grandpa was one of the cadets kicked out. i guess what happened after this was that a bunch of this people(including the ones who lied about the cribbing scandal) and others, went on a plane to go somewhere and the plane went down and everyone died. i guess the moral was to tell the truth. it's freaky. but i guess they called everyone in, and asked did you or did you not cheat. and they gave you the benefit of the doubt.

nobody dies..they just get ratted out by Zach character.

Your grandfather might have a nice morality tale for children, but everyone dying on an airplane crash is a fable. There were at least 90 people involved in this and obviously your relative lived after the event. Does that mean God chose special ones to survive, and the others were punished by His hand of justice? Does any group of people or close relatives, who happen to die in a major accident together, have some link to a moral code and God has decided their fate? When will God quit killing the innocents with excuses of eternal justice?

reply

no no i meant it like this. he left because he got kicked out, but some cadets who were there, including some who weren't involved in the cribbing incident supposdly went on a plane, which crashed. im just saying some of the gulity as well as the innocent died. its not related to the story im just saying that you fgt
