I just watched it and have to say it was not that bad.
I think the problem here is on what culture think is funny. I saw all three of them, and frankly I thought this one was one of the better one. Though again this used more anglo-saxon humor.
As a reference, I tend not to like French or German comedy.
I think it was really good. i enjoyed the film and i thougt the new guy who played asterix did a really good job too. dont know why this film is getting alot of bad reviews.

to be honest this movie is for kids and adults
im a asterix and obelix fan since i was 5 years old :P and I still love it and im 19 years old now lol xD i loved every comic and movie of it, this one i find the funnest one if u got a sense of humor u would laugh at some jokes lol xD this movie doest deserve bad reviews the are keeping the asterix and obelix alive if the dint do this it would go death.
I agree with that. I have just seen it and I liked it. I didn't know the film had got such bad reviews before. And I love the comic books, and French comedy also.
