STOP BLAMING THIS MOVIE...

I saw it and i know it's not a perfect movie but it's enjoyable. The comic is better but we knew that before the movie is released.
We are talking about an ASTERIX movie here NOT a godfather movie so HANDS OF.
I'm an asterix fan and a roman empire fan and to see GREAT CAESAR even in an asterix movie means a lot to me SO CUT THE BULL AND RELEASE ALL 28 ASTERIX COMICS IN THE BIG SCREEN AND IN CARTOON MOVIES (we have only 8 cartoons so far and 3 movies) OR I'LL TAKE MY LEGIONS AND CAESAR'S SWORD AND COME AFTER YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA...LOL.............

PS. (In greek):

"einai treloi autoi oi romaioi", which means "these romans are crazy"

I'm sorry but if the movie was well directed we would have a very fun movie. My kid just hated it when he love mission cleopatre de 2nd one.

The french screwed up on that one. what a shame.

there's nothing enjoyable in this movie. I forced myself to laugh a once or twice because I was really excited when I heard it was going to be a movie and I convinced myself that it's good because it's Asterix. NO, it wasn't good. And caps won't help you achieve anything. You'll just end up being annoying. There, you expressed your opinion in the forum, you got a reply that begs to differ.

The movie is an insult to Goscinny. Both kids and adults can enjoy the comicbooks and the filmmakers decided to remove all the good jokes and plot points and make a movie that only young children can enjoy.

I will agree. And I will go further by saying that this movie (and to some extent, any Asterix comics, which I love), is an insult to history.

At least, Mission Cleopatre was great fun. If douche-bag Uderzo had had a bit more sense of humor, Alain Chaba would have directed again, and offered us something better.

This movie was crap!

That movie was one of the worst I´ve ever seen. I watched it via pay-per-view, so I only had 24h. After 1 hour I got so bored I had to turn it off, but having paid 3.99€ I forced myself later that day to watch it till the end. I had to skip some parts, because I was bored out of my mind, but I know what happened, Just missed out on a few lame jokes. For some reason this movie reminds me of the new Simpsons episodes. Something that originally was great, intelligent and funny was turned into something extremly unfunny, embarassing and hard to watch. They even have reduntant guest appearences of celebrities in common. I didn´t expect much, as I already didn´t like the 2nd movie, but compared to this piece of garbage Mission Cleopatra was brilliant. Where´s the storyline? Where´s the sense in anything that happens? I read someone´s post on this board that I agree with: why did Asterix and Obelix take part in the Olympic games?
Any joke - if you can call them that - you could see coming a million miles away. I won´t even get started on those numerous murder attempts. Could they have come up with anything cornier? Everything was so silly. The whole movie seemed like it was aimed at an audience aged under 10 years. I want my money back. And those 2 hours of my life

To me the tone of the movie is not very faithful to the comics. The comics make good use of the contrast between deadpan humour and violent temper. This movie is clownish from start to finish.
