When can we expect to see 28 Months Later?

Seriously, the horror genre is truly lacking right now. We need a 28 Months Later...and this time by the original director Danny Boyle.

I can only dream that Boyle would direct 28 Months Later, or whatever it would be titled. We really need another movie in this "franchise".

It's not looking likely, however.

Such a shame. Aside from Danny Boyle, what other director do you think could successfully and passionately take on a continuation of the franchise?

It would just be more of the same presumably? Everything under control until some contrived circumstance causes an outbreak again, only it might be even more contrived since this would be now 2 and a half years after it began.

I'd rather they left alone and concentrated on something new and different.

I know what you mean. The story probably should be left alone. But...I still would like to see the story reach some sort of conclusion. The ending of 28 Weeks Later just isn't good enough.

Probably never. Boyle and Garland seems to be tied up in other projects and it's probably been too long for most people to care.

Would be good to see it happen, Mainland Europe infested with the rage virus. They'd have a slim chance of containing it.
