I actually liked it

I don't think it's on the same par as the first film. But for a sequel, I thought it wasn't bad. I mean, sure, here and there, parts of the film aren't all that great. But there were also some pretty memorable brutal scenes. The visuals in this film were compelling. Take the opening sequence for example...that was intense.

If there was some more breathing room in the middle for character development, instead of just constant action after the dad was infected, it could have brought the whole thing to another level. 28 Days is so good because of those calm scenes in between the storm, the moments between the characters. But yes, it's a good sequel, and the opening sequence is on the same level as the original.

I think the kiss scene is an all-time great as well - it's shot so well.
