two problems

firstly though: I LOVE MOCK THE WEEK...but

Why do the studio audience AUTOMATICALLY laugh whenever Andy Parsons merely walks to the mic before even saying a thing? Funny once (No actually not even once), but how many series are we up to now, and still they get a kick out of it! He strolls up.. then smirks, maybe a nod for good measure and... Q laughter!

And why is Hugh's "dear Jimmy" considered for every episode? I'm sure they can edit it out, they have the recording equiptment don't they. Its such a weak gag that he churns out when he can't think of something remotley witty or clever.

I think that's one of the best bits about Andy Parsons. That and his Bill Oddie voice. The first time I saw him, I actually thought he was doing a Bill Oddie impression.

I will agree with you about Hugh though. Most of his act consists of the usual Showaddywaddy/Car Insurance gags, or otherwise just staring into the camera after one of his comments in the Scenes We'd Like To See round. I don't see why most of the other comedians seem to defer to him.

I'd like to see Johnny Vegas on this show. And David Mitchell is always good value.

Johnny Vegas is one of the most intelligent comedians around.
