Thoughts on the new series first episode

I actually quite liked it. I'm a big Frankie Boyle fan and so i was sceptical as to whether i would enjoy it without him. Career wise he made the right move. His stand up really suffered because 90% of it was all recycled mock the week jokes.

Thought Patrick Kielty did fairly well as a guest, good self depricating humour in the "if this is the answer what is the question" round and made me laugh with a few of his jokes. His facebook gags were quite good as well.

cant wait for next episode.

I totally agree. When I first heard that Frankie had quit the show I was like "Oh no, Mock the Week will go to **** now!" But seing the first new episode I was pleasantly surprised, and its like the others have more speaking time now that Frankie isnt commmenting on every single thing thats being said.

The Toker thinks Frankie will be missed. Patrick Keilty has been doing his World Relations Facebook gags since the dawn of time. Caught an old episode on Dave last night and Frankie was by far the best thing on the show. His Pride and Extreme Predujice joke was brilliant. Who are they going to get in that goes as close to the knuckle as Frankie? No one else would do the having sex with an owl or Diana/gangbang in a minefield jokes.

I hate that Milton guy. I don't understand why they keep bringing him back. I'm thinking people in the audience are laughing because of how uncomfortably *beep* he is.
Patrick Kielty wasn't great either.

This show isn't worth watching now that Frankie's gone

I caught a repeat tonight, and it was funny, but not as unpredictable as it would be with Boyle on the panel.
