Have there ever been any Maddie McCann/twin towers jokes?

Just wondering.

On Lines You Wouldn't Hear In A Superhero Movie (Scenes We'd Like To See) Frankie says "Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Whatever it is it's heading straight for the World Trade Centre". No Maddy McCann jokes though, at least not that I'm aware of.

Pity.

There's plenty of other near-the-knuckle jokes though.

I loved the joke Dara made when he said the only books in bookstores were now titles called "Daddy, NOOO! And 'Touched...But Not By An Angel'"

So true, there have been dozens of traumatic childhood novels printed in the last few years. Was still a bit harsh though hahaha.

I don't remember any but it wouldn't surprise me if there were. Frankie Boyle (in his DVD) definitaly made a joke about Shannon Mathews and Madeline McCann. I don't really want to repeat it.

Was it that "the ugly ones always turn up alive" one?
Cause that made me laugh sooo much

Not exactly that but similar. I just didn't think it was funny and not something to joke about considering what she must have went through and it wasn't funny. If you ask me, in the DVD, he tried to make jokes by being insulting and swearing. That wasn't comedy.

I don't understand people like you. How does laughing about something hurt anyone? Does it mean you're a racist if you laugh at a Nazi joke? Or a murderer if you laugh at a Maddie McCann joke? Or a sympathiser with the perpetrators of those crimes? NO! It doesn't have anything to do with how people really feel about those issues. It's a bloody joke. It's not serious. It's a play on words designed to make you laugh. Some people have no sense of humour at all.

Frankie had a joke about making an adult disaster film called 69\11.

Hugh Dennis also made one during a Kofi Annan skit.

I saw Frankie live last year & he mentioned a joke he did during "Scenes We'd Like to See" that was cut from the show.

Things that would change the atmosphere at a dinner party:

"Hold on, if we're all sitting here, who's watching Madeleine?"

reply

I was there at the recording at that show and he did indeed make that joke. My husband and I turned looked at each other and whispered "that won't make the broadcast".

They were discussing the WTC replacement and I think Hugh said they should build a mosque and Frankie said they should build a runway!

reply

Frankie actually said both of those things in the same routine.
