Merlin's apprentice acting

The actor who plays Merlin's apprentice (John Reardon) was very good I thought. He was able to play a good range of emotions. His eyes and face showed well on the screen: sadness, excitment, mischief were well performed. I was impressed. Although I have never heard or seen him before, I do hope it gets higher parts in other films, as it is obvious that the camera loves him. I won't mention Sam Neil's performance because he is been long enough in the film industry although I must say, the scene where he holds the bridge wasn't very convincing at all.
Overall the film wasn't fantastic and i wouldn't pay to see it. I only got it from a friend but it shows some quality in the acting for most of the actors. I thought Meghan Ory played well too.

Have to disagree. The acting overall in "Merlin's Apprentice" was the typical acting you get on the Sci-Fi channel movies. I don't know where they get these directors, but they get the dullest performances out of even really good actors; only Uwe Boll can get worse performances out of good actors! Sam Neill was an unfortunate victim of the trend in this one, and John Reardon was rather unimpressive.
