For those who have seen it

What are your thoughts? I thought tehre were a lot of mystical elements in it. As one review states, it's not a documentary at all. In fact far from it. From the beginning it seemed really random, but towards the end it all seemed to fall together and my friends and I discussed it for a long while after. Anyway, I know everything I said was broad, but I don't really wanna give away spoilers. Any other general reactions to it?

an odd one... to me it was at once bleak and hopeful... very funny and beautiful. from the point of view of someone fairly agoraphobic, i was one of the few films i've seen with a protagonist wandering about in the wilderness where i didn't feel anxious for her to get home to familar ground [wherever 'home' is for her] - perhaps in entering into a gypsy lifestyle she discovers her true character. birol unel is typically phenomenal in it - he's always so ragged and mesmerising to watch. i'll definitely be getting it on dvd when it's out.

No, it's not common practice.
Basically, you can take almost anything you see in that movie, and discount it as being fiction, as you won't see it commonly happening in Romania.

The movie isn't bad, but it's faaaar away from reality - only credible to people who have no idea what it's actually like in Romania.
