I saw the movie and thought it was ok. Far from excellent and a little unpolished in places but the actors (especially Caroline Dhavernas) and the story really pulled it together.
So why are so many people giving it a voting of one? Why do people seem to find this movie so abhorrent?
The movie hasn't been released here ( london ) yet and probably won't but I will check it out on DVD when it comes out.
I saw the trailer and it looked fine, the subject matter might put some people off but from what reviews I read online everyone states the actors are excellent especially Carole and Caroline but the script is too weak.
Who cares if the script is weak I will still watch it. Cant be that bad if it Has Carole Laure in it.

It's not that I don't like messed up things, because I do. I just found this movie to be a bit boring. Not all that much happens and you don't get that much insight into why the characters are doing what they are doing, and why they are the way they are. It feels like it could have been shortened with maybe 40 minutes.
I don't think it's reasonable to leave it to the audience to research family psychology in order to understand some of the stuff that happens. More dialogue wouldn't have hurt.
