Am I missing the point? IS there a point?

I bought this because it was five bucks at wal-mart. There are some good actors in it. But that doesn't really matter when the stories are pretty much nonsense. Especially "New Year's Eve", what the hell is up with that? Can you even call that a story? The sniper short story was kind of cool I guess. And it was nice to see Cate Blanchett grind her ass up against hot dogs and a ketchup bottle, but I really have no idea what the hell I just watched. I'm really kind of surprised all these accomplished actors did stuff like this. It's like these shorts are directed by freshman film school students. These aren't that old either. This stuff was made when these actors had already established themselves. I really don't get it.
