Where did the wood come from?
It bothers me that there is a wooden shack in this movie. Where did the wood come from? It doesn't seem reasonable.
shareWould it make more sense if it was made of concrete? Obviously like in the mountains, it's brought there by helicopter.
shareBut the wooden shack was built by the previous explorers, and the time period in which they were there would not allow for a helicopter. And even if it did, why not use a helicopter to get to the destination for the current explorers if it was something that could be done in those weather conditions? So a helicopter is not the answer.
The wood would have had to be hauled manually from an unknown location since trees do not grow in Antarctic. It would be illogical to expend physical energy to haul wood to build the shack. So my question stands.
