So what is this? Is this a totally French film and when is it going to be released? Is this filmed in France? And does the title mean The rabbit of Vatanen? I`m a fan of the author of the novel and the old movie version and I`m looking forward to seeing this also.

"Le lièvre de Vatanen" is the French name of the book, and yes, literal translation is "The rabbit of Vatanen" :). I don't know when it will be released, but the filming began this October in Bulgaria (for the landscapes and probably because it's less expensive to film there). Don't expect anything before end of 2006.

Seems it's a mostly French-speaking cast. The main actors are Christophe Lambert, Julie Gayet (don't think she's known out of France), Rémy Girard ("Barbarian invasions") and François Morel (well-known comedian here).

Mitä paskaa =what is this *beep* and yes it´s finnish.I´m finnish too and i have seen the original finnish movie of this book many times ,so it will be interesting to see the french version.
