left on the editing room floor

I was at Blockbuster and saw the dvd cover. I read the summary on the back and thought this was going to be a great movie. I couldn't wait to get home and put it in the dvd player.

Well, apparently most of the story was left on the editing room floor. The buildup that should have led me to the edge of my seat never came. And did I miss all the stuff about Alex's family life or was it not in the movie? It almost felt like the summary on the dvd cover was false advertising.

The story HAD potential.
