Just seen the movie I think it was really good. Just two questions
1- Who is the woman that pushes Frank Taggert down the stairs at the motel?
2- Who is the woman that is beheaded by the devil the morning after the devil kidnaps Cole´s sister?
Two characters out of nowhere, can someone shed some light?
P.S. Does the whole Frank Taggert hanging on alive issue have an explanation too?

Good questions.
The first lady is one of Daniel's possessed people. Just the same way he inhabited the Haitian man at the beginning, Lola's son, the priest, etc., he was at least manipulating this woman.
The second is bad writing/producing on my part. My intention was to have a group of surviving townspeople that Daniel is about to kill on that hillside. Budgets being what they are, I made the (wrong) judgement call to just have the one lady there-- the one that gets beheaded. If there had been others-- people who still lived in the area, that had lived in the town (like Mary Ann), it would have worked better.
Taggert just literally cared enough for his friendship and honor that death wasn't going to stop him when Cole sent out the psychic/magical message for help. Combine that with Cole delving into voodoo and that's where I was going with it.
