This movie is just so ridiculous(some spoilers)

Ok. Now I want to say this: I'm not the kind of guy who only watches imdb top 250 movies and I actually think Step up 2 was ok but this movie is just... not real. The script and the whole plot. Come on, janitor being the only guy in the Maryland School of Arts who can lift a girl in her dance routine? And important plot points such as trashing the studio at the beginning, stealing cars and the girl breaking up with her boyfriend are just so fake and bear no resemblance to the actual character's motives. I mean, the dancing was ok and the story was... sweet. but you folks gotta admit it was pretty lame at times. Any thoughts?

I agree, this movie is just as bad and unrealistic as HSM.

Well I gotta say, my boyfriend usually doesn't watch any of the movies with a dance/romance theme, but he actually liked this one! It's a very nice and heart-warming story, not lame at all

Tri Fister. I'm absolutely serious. SU 2 was way better imo.

I guess some aspects of the movie would never happen in real life, but is that really point of the movie? Just enjoy it for what it is.. A movie that's made up. Once you get rid of all the "that would never, ever happen" than you can find it's a pretty enjoyable film.

What did you expect?

Of course the storyline was completely unrealistic and contrived..but who didn't see that coming? The only reason i saw it was because of Channing Tatum - his beautiful body is the best part of this movie! This movie was clearly made for girls.

I could not believe that she couldn't find anyone else in the school to help her. I mean seriously, in a school full on dancers, no one else could lift her?

Unrealistic that seem's like a very lame complaint hello it's a movie not something saying this is how reality is, this has happened, and can happen again.
Do you complain that in Jaws, and other shark movies that they aren't the killing machines movies portray them as, how improbable it is that if a guy get's rejected by a girl if he keeps trying she will change her mind, pretty much any action movie the action hero is the Michael Jordna of gun shooters killing the bad guys easily just because you shoot a person doesn't mean they'll die, most of science fiction movies don't follow the rules of science,if you shoot air tanks with a gun it won't really explode like it did in Jaws etc. If you are going to complain about movies being unrealistic then don't watch movies because they are made for entertainment mainly. There are movies that go for being realistic however most of them are made for entertainment.

I liked it. Yes, it's cheesy, predictable and hugely fake. But it's a great consept and is fun to watch. I am the kind of guy who gets called 'greebo' and 'emo' but I watched this and enjoyed it hugely.

It's entertaining and I liked it. To me, that is all thats important relly.

Would someone like George Costanza be able to *beep* pretty much every girl he met like in Seinfeld? Entertainment isn't realistic.
