and strangely ts openong weekend ( $14,196 ) is better than the opening weeks of the last 15 New Yorker Films release
i think it expands only by 1 theatre next week though also in NY
it's a decent average...let's just hope it keeps it up next week!
shareI was one of the people in the Lincoln Plaza theatres on Saturday. I'll tell you something too; New Yorker trailers are awful. They need to hire a new editor. They make really interesting films seem like muddled, inconsistent messes.
I really liked the changes they made to the book, and Famke is wonderful in it. Two people walked out of the showing I was in (for an 86 minute movie, it has a deliberate pace) but most people seemed to enjoy it.

sharethe average is less cuz the new theatre gave only 4 shows a day
lthe other two both gave 6 showings each all week i think one of them went down one showing a day
so that is probably why average went down
but overall it grossed more than last weekend which is good
so far Domestic boxoffice wise it out grossed 2 Famke films fathers and sons and circus(which was released wide in the UK)
next week it doesnt add any theatres though hopefully it wont drop any lincoln plaza i know for sure will keep it at 6 screenings a day next weekend/week

unfortunately this weekend the treatment drops to only 1 theatre
it is out of hungtington and angelica
but it is sill in loncoln plaza with 6 screenings a day
and next week it adds a boston theatre
from the way its going i think it will probably outgross "Eulogy" (75 000)for sure
and maybe adventures of sebastian cole (100 000)too
it actually added a theatre not listed on the official site this weekend
and dropped 2
so it was in 2 theatres

which i think is the final New York gross
as it has been pulled out of new york
only has 1 theatre in boston this week adds at least 2 next week

The Treatment's theatre average this weekend is very good its #12 overall this weekend in theatre averages despite the fact thta this is its 14th week in release
The Treatment average is $4,605 in its 14th week while The Ten in its 2nd week $2,568
The Treatment has now also outgrossed Famke's last indie release Eulogy
The Ten is obviously ahead of The Treatment in total gross due to # of theatres
