I dont have an answer to your question, however, apparently the show is on again on april 8 at 8 pm mst. I am going to tape the end credits so i can go through them slowly and find the name and the artist who sings the song i am looking for. You may wish to do the same.

The song is, actually Beautiful by Joydrop, who were a Canadian band who have, unfortunately, broken up.
As often happens in the internet world, however, people mispost lyrics or misname MP3 files, and then you get this kind of misattribution.
[I know it's Joydrop because, in addition to remembering the single when it was released, I bought the album]
In fact, from what I remember of the music, the entire movie used only Canadian artists.
