How much money did this actually make?

People go on about how this was a success financially and critically. But according to IMDB's record, this was a financial flop. Personally, I'm willing to believe that IMDB could be mistaken, but out of sheer curiosity, does anyone know a more accurate answer?

according to BoxOfficeMojo it made $13,804 from cinema showing. i imagine it's made a lot more with DVD/BRay sales since then.
