Storywise, MGS4 is superior to MGS5

MGS5 had the potential to be the greatest game of it's genre ever, but lack of characters and storyline and revamped missions take from it. If anything MGS4 should have been Kojima's last MGS game, it would have set the on it's way out off in a sad but perfect way.

I feel like konami is the problem here.
They have been rushing Hideo and it just shows, it whas good for what it whas.
Not a long story, but still a good one.
Just compare it to any other tripple A game.

Kojima was working on TPP for 5 years, I'm pretty sure Konami wasn't rushing him but by the end, they got fed up cause it was just taking too long and costing them too much resources for one particular game that has been in development for 5 years.

Personally, I'd say Kojima is more at fault here. Instead of sticking to the traditional style of MGS, he set his ambition to GTA5 like scale and ultimately failed in a sense.

I personally enjoyed the TPP as far as the gameplay goes but the story and plot, lack of cutscenes among many other issues set it back.

MGS4 is superior to the Phantom Pain in every way except for the graphics.

Well, yeah, considering MGS5 had no story.
