when theyve done all they can possibly do with ww2

will they go back to ww1?
move ahead to korea?
jump to vietnam?
skip ahead to Desert Shield/Desert Storm?
Go for the War on terror?

or end the series?

the next big focus will probably have to do with vietnam, ww1 wasnt as tactically strong for a medal of honor game (going over the top is too random as opposed to covering, firing and all)
there seems to be a rising trend in vietnam games, probably because the war is becoming farther and farther back in terms of historical position
I do expect there'l be a game on the "War on terror" as you put it and it'l probably have some snappy title like "iraq attack" that way the american government can attempt to teach children that what theyre doing in Iraq is right, the same way the american public is being blinded by things like that movie coming out about the people in the plane on sept 11 that didnt hit its target, or the way america is attempting to blind its public with things like that "special movie" on the Avian flu...

Good shout on the reasons why they wont do WW1.
There are a few Vietnam based games, but since they're not very good, the MOH guys could really clean up in that genre. However, there is the worry that there will be a poorer market because the Americans didnt win it hands down.
I think that's what makes WW2 such a safe bet - politically, it was a classic case of right versus wrong, (nearly) everyone was in support of it and the Allies won.
Having said that, there are a great many people who will play a game with any background so long as they can shoot people :)

It's an interesting point that they seem to be running out of WW2 scenarios. I think that's the reason behind attaching an American officer to British and Russian regiments in European Assault.
I would still like to see something based solely on the British war effort, but then it probably wouldnt sell so many units across the pond.

They have already done everything there is to do with WW2 games. There will never be any end to WW2 games...period.
