All Live 8 Did......

Was show us how horrible British music is now days. I remember a time when The Beatles, The rolling Stones, Zeppelin, and The Who ruled the world. Now you guys have that pathetic Robbie Williams. I'm very sorry you guys have fell off.

U.K. music is the best in the world. They just seem to produce talented artists like its a production line.

My personal favorite is Lily Allen. She's the best thing out of the U.K. since... like all the British music acts in history!!!

As far as star power (you had Black Eyed Peas we had Snoop Dogg, you had Alicia Keys, we had Madonna AND Mariah Carey AND Dido) and musical quality (we had Stereophonics and the Who, you had Bon Jovi) Live 8 London p#i#s#s#ed from a great height over Live 8 Philly. As did indeed Live 8 Berlin, Live 8 Paris, and Live 8 Africa Calling (the second of the 3 UK Live 8 concerts).

I think it was telling that the 2 best acts on the Philly bill were the two UK acts: Kaiser Chiefs (not really a band I like to much, but they played their 3 best songs) and Def Leppard.

Don't forget Bon Jovi in Philly!!!

It's also just occured to me that if our bill was so bad why then did the Killers openly admit that when given the choice they chose to play 1 song in London using Snow Patrol's equipment rather than 3 or 4 songs in Philly using their own?

As I've stated elsewhere Live 8 London (and for that matter Paris and Berlin) pound for pound beat Live 8 Philly's somewhat safe and middle of the road bill hands down.
