I mean you're handed a decent script and given Kingsley, Firth, McKidd, and a decent child actor and you can't put it all together?? After reading his credits I understood why this "movie" felt like an expanded Xena Warrior Princess episode...the dude has no talent as a director and should stick to other things

I can usually see the merit in most movies...this was just brutal...not the actors' fault either...blame rests right at the feet of Mr. Lefler...his movie was bad and he should feel bad...to steal a quote from Dr. Zoidberg

I agree with both posters in a way.

a) The directing was pretty awful, especially the final battle scenes made no sense (where they fighting inside or outside of the castle / walls ?) It just seemed like a bunch of random fighting scenes string together. Both story and cast had potential, but the result was pretty lame.

b) As bad as some of this was, Uwe Boll is way, way worse.

This movie looks like it was made by an upgraded version of Uwe Boll. Lafler is "leflerable" (laughable) here, and next to the horrendous script and rating (PG), it's biggest fault.
