Was not a bad movie at all.

I found the movie fun. It was a nice combination of Roman and Arthurian legend. It does not matter about historical accuracy if it is fun. I am also a fan of the tv series Rome. Kevin McKidd playing opposite what he played in Rome worked well. Hollywood likes to put actors in opposite roles than they are normally seen. Sure Vortgyn and many of the other characters needed more character development, and better back story, but the main point of the movie was mixing two legends that had a slight connection anyways.

History aside, there wasn't a teaspoon of realism to the story either. Even treated as fantasy, every single line and every move was part of an unbearable exposition of "how no human in real life speaks or does it".

I have to admit that I did like it, for all the criticisms I've made of it. It's a decent time waster.

I think it's a decent lazy Sunday afternoon kind of movie.

yeah, it's not a bad film

I totally agree. Ben Kingsley was perfect as Merlin but having played the part before somewhere, I wonder if the had Sean Connery in mind when they wrote the character. Good job Mr. Kingsley and the rest of the crew.

It's a solid B-movie. Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley were good. The villains were "egh". But the movie itself looked like they actually had physical sets and locations instead of CGI like a lot of fantasy movies now.

Oh yes it was.
