Was it just me or...

I thought it was fun. Sean Patrick Flanery, Michael Biehn & Charlotte Ayanna played their roles well. Ayanna was a sexy hot vampire chick. I give it a 7/10

It's too bad Sci-Fi butchered the movie with all the swear words bleeped out and them cutting some of it out. I recommend getting the DVD

I liked it as well--different twist in the vampire genre. Did wish scifi had written dialog that didn't have to be bleeped.

I was going back and forward between a basketball game and The Insatiable, and fell asleep. It looked like a great movie, does anyone know when it will be back on Sci Fi?

You could tell it was a low-budget production, but I still really liked it.

It wasn't bad. It was fun seeing Young Indy Jones as a nerd who couldn't get chicks.

Yeah Sean Patrick plays such a jerk on "The Dead Zone" - Seeing him play a loser was fun. Beihn was impressive in a supporting role. He does a great job playing a guy who is about to go over the edge (The Abyss).

[quote]Biehn was supposed to be a feverent vampire hater and yet did nothing when he knew that a vampire was locked away in the basement of his appartment? (yes, he was handicapped, but that still doesn't excuse it) [quote]

You might have missed the conversation between Harry and Strickland.

The following is not verbatim but ... Strickland asks Harry where he has the Vamp hidden, Harry refuses to tell Strickland where she is.

Also Strickland feverishly tells Harry that he should go where ever he has the Vamp and finish off the job.

Personally I dug this flick. It's funny, insightful and very well acted.

No, not everything in regards to editing was perfect. But for an indie made on a smaller budget .... a true gem!

If I can go a little while without getting shot or stabbed I'll be all right.

I really enjoyed it.

Recent B grade vampire flicks are usually horrible. But despite the less than sophisticated ending this one was pretty good. The fact that Charlotte Ayanna is the hottest vampire since Kate Beckinsale didn't hurt matters either.

reply

Yes much better than I thought it would be...I would have liked more interaction between protagonist and wheelchair guy. But good movie.

I finally had a chance to see it again on Sci Fi. It came on yesterday afternoon. What a very nice movie. I had a great time watching it. I enjoyed the characters also. Especially Tatiana, and Javy. Charlotte Ayanna is so beautiful, my god her eyes are gorgeous! I could have gone on watching her all day! So talented, and sexy!

I just watched the uncut version. I have had it for a while (along with about two dozen other horror-ish flicks) on my PC, but had been putting off watching it. I thought it would be totally terrible grade-z junk-o-rama, but I was pleasantly surprised by it. The acting was good, it was funny and fun to watch. Charlotte was uber hot and played her role well, I so would have given in to her too. SPF was great and Biehn was great in his role too. It's definitely not a movie to be taken too seriously, and it doesn't take itself too seriously either which is cool. I think they pulled it off nicely. In it's genre I'd give it a strong 7/10 to a middling 8/10, worth a watch if you can get the uncut version.

agree, it's a very enjoyable movie that imho even has some interesting points apart from being funny and sexy of course.
i like this kind of more b-movie than blockbuster because it doesn't mean to re-invent cinema or anything but is just a good little story.

this neighbour of balbo was also a sidecharacter that contributed to this movie. it was funny since she only seemed to go for balbo as long as he was the shy loser-guy but seemed to reject him when he accepted her avances, however you couldn't tell what it really was...
