i thought it was a great movie

i like this movie a lot but it seems most other people don't.I thought tara was great for the lead female and i have always been a fan of her and always will be.What i want to know is why does everybody hate this movie because i thought it was a great horror film.Obviously it was not my favorite horror movie but it succeeds giving the audience scares and i thought it scared the hell out of me.So please reply to this if you have an opinion about this movie.

the movie like many straight to dvd's had good ideas to being a great film, but fell short.. i personally thought this movie was retarded and pointless to say the least.. i mean if it was so cold out, why were there leaves on the trees as if it was summer? and why the hell would u just break into a building like that. it oculd have been good but it seems like the movie was just rushed, and not to mention alot of things just didnt make sense

i like horror films to scare me. with this one, i was bored. the plot was scattered, the acting was absolutely horrible and seemed as though they pulled random people off the street to act, and i couldn't help but laugh at their crying attempts.

Not only worst horror movie, but top 10 of my worst movies ever.

Why!!

1: Plot holes everywhere.
2: You don't care about ANY of the characters.
3: Tara Reid for gods sake is ms exposision. Nearly every line she utters is to fill you in on "plot".
4: As above it treats the aaudience as if we are 12 or 13 and can't work out sh!t for ourselves.
5: Abosolutely the worst acting.Or should I say over acting.
6: Tara Reid fullstop. One of the worst actors EVER.
7: So so so so boring.

When I first saw this movie, I was very underimpressed. I actually forgot about it for about a year afterward, then suddenly I started having flashbacks -- remembering very poignant scenes such as the lab, and the test chamber, and the basement. Ever since I've been on a mission to find it again.

At least for me, Incubus is one of those movies that you hate at first but then grow more and more fond of after missing it for so long. The same thing happened to me with the movie Ruins and the movie Session 9. I hated them at first viewing, then years later I was haunted by their memory and sought them out, even though I couldn't for the life of me remember their names. Now I watch both of them once or even twice a year.

Incubus certainly has its share of flaws and while not nearly the calbre of big budget horror, I think it accomplishes what it sets out to do fairly well and leaves a memorable impression. I've honestly never seen a movie with the same plot and execution even to this day, so it stands well on its own merits, in my opinion. While it's not my all-time favourite horror flick by any means, it's still within my top-30.
