Were any worms harmed while making this?
Does anyone know?
shareMy daughter was an extra and kept a worm. It is just a rubber worm.
shareit clearly says at the end of the film (and the previews) that no worms were harmed during the making of this film. they don't mean that as a joke (even though it's funny), they really didn't eat real worms. (i don't think anyone would consider signing on as Billy if they had to.)
shareThe AHA certified the movie.
It certainly looked like it though, which shows what a great job they did with effects and editing.

No. The worms were really a type of confection. I saw the DVD extras.

No what? The AHA did certify it, their mark is in the credits. And they did do a good effects job, specifically because they made gummy-worms that looked and moved just like real ones.
