Strange timing error in newspaper article?

At one point, there is a brief close-up of a newspaper article (presumably created for the film) casting doubt over the authenticity of the book. At the top of the second column of print, it states that checks made out to "H. R. Hughes" had been presented in a Swiss bank. (You need to pause the DVD on the close-up to read this!) But at that point, Edith Irving had not yet even travelled to Switzerland - the film shows this happening later.

This seems a strange error of detail by the film makers, although it would have gone unnoticed in the cinema.
