Wheatley's best: Kill List and Sightseers?

These are easily Ben Wheatley's best films in my opinion. High-Rise is a big letdown. Its rambling and incoherent. Not like his best work, which is very clean with good narrative structure. I think one of the main problems is that he failed to capture the essence of what made JG Ballard's novel so great. I think he should have written the script himself. The individual who wrote it - his wife, Amy Jump - let him down big time. Anyway, what do you think are Wheatley's best films?

For me A Field in England and High-Rise. Both 9/10 from me. Loved their psychedelic psychologies.

Ever tried, ever failed?
No matter.
Try again, fail again.
Fail better.

Kill List is one of the scariest films i have ever seen, it's also so subtle and you need to re watch it few times to piece together what is really going on, and the fact nothing is explained fully makes it even creepier as it's what you don't see which terrifies me
Seeing it get 6.4 or whatever does surprise me but i have found lately that films around the mid sixes seem to be divisive and underrated which suits me because you know it invokes a strong reaction either way and i am finding that these kind of films are rejected by the general public but adored by the intellectual film nerd types. so personally i respect those type of opinions more, not to sound pretentious.

Sightseers and Down Terrace sit alongside each other nicely along with Prevenge and pure back Comedies i love them both

Was really disappointed in the last hour of this film i thought it was building up really nicely there was an Eyes Wide Shut vibe where the Social climbing rich DR is not allowed into the upper echelons and he is not a likeable main character but the Anarchy just all of a sudden happened and Wilder shows up to a party Kills and then is killed himself and then its all over and just felt something was missing and wanted a bit more.

Also Jeremy Irons Character confused me a little, he was supposed to be this tyrant but you never see him do anything particularly evil, he has a love child and apparently cuts the power but we never see this, the people around him seem far worse
I don't want to slag it to much because knowing how nuanced Kill List is and leaving hints for multiple viewings this may get better but from my one and only viewing last night it was a bit underwelming
