Character observations

I found the main characters to be irritating especially Neil. His whole brand of anti-capitalism rhetoric struck me as so hollow. They hate capitalism but revel when they think their competitor is going under. When that doesn't work they have to cheat (much like the supposed cheating of corporations they so deride). Then when their cheat fails they're upset that homeless people are getting fed. They want to maintain their cool little enclave which I don't begrudge them but quit with the evils of capitalism especially when he inherited a premium piece of property. This brand of elitism seems pretty similar to trust fund babies.

Yeah, the politics is pretty hamfisted. You think you're a rebel when you're singing a rock song derived from a cereal jingle? Ookay then.

If it wasn't for the pretensions I think I could've enjoyed this a lot more, because it had a somewhat unique setting, and I liked most of the main actors, if not so much the people they were playing.
