Bottom 100: #97?? Seriously? Come on..

With an average of 2.4/10 out of 6,594 votes, this film currently ranks a whopping #97 on the WORST FILMS OF ALL TIME?? That actually surprised me a lot.

They just showed it on tv, and I thought it was a quite decent movie for kids. Cuba Gooding Jr. delivered a fine comedic performance, Lochlyn Munro was an enjoyable bad guy, Richard Gant did well as the old wise man, Paul Rae was mildy amusing as a poorman's John Goodman/Tom Arnold-type of character, and all the kids were great too.

The plot was very simple, some might even call it formulaic, so those looking for something to blow their minds were disappointed, of course, but this movie is clearly not aimed at them, but at undiscriminating children, just looking for a fun movie about summer camps. And I definitely thinks it delivers just that.

I didn't know it when I watched it, but I just found out that it is apparently a sequel to Daddy Day Care, starring Eddie Murphy of all people.. I think that may have been the main reason why this movie has gotten such a poor rating, because the two films had been linked, and people expected something else.

It stands very well on its own, and shouldn't had been marketed as a sequel to the other movie, which, ultimately, became its downfall (on the imdb at least).
