Weird question, but did anyone else notice the obvious gay themes of the film?
Maybe I'm crazy, but uh yea....it was pretty obvious.
Yeah, a couple of other threads point this out too.
There was either something going on with the actors, or something unresolved in the script. The "Looking at that boy like a lion looks at a gazelle" line was what put it over the top for me. And once the long gaze at one anonother in the "look me in the eyes" thing pretty much said 'Here comes the sex'...
Plus I think they were going for some sort of "turn the genre upside down" thing going on (The sex scene where the boy doesn't get to finish..!?). All of the characters were really bad copies of the "types" in shalser films (the Urban Warrior black chikc being one of the most overt..and offensive), but with the twist instead of showing the T&A that other slasher films show, they show long sweat basketball shots and a male camper always in a half top and b*ll hugger shorts....
I dunno, I think they were trying to make a statement, I just think it failed. Like just about every other aspect of this movie. lol.

If it was some kind of reverse T&A statement it's kind of funny, but I definitely think it was intentional on part of the scriptwriters and actors.
The weird thing is that the kid from Kyle XY is in this movie and just recently he denied being gay publicly, like on Howard Stern, too. Well, I don't know what else to say except that he's not that good of an actor and he definitely comes off that way!
He's cute, though.

Well all of this just makes me want to see this one now ;). My main reason to see it is because Brendan Bradley is hot, and now I also want to see it because of the gay undertones. The movie should be fun to laugh at. Maybe it is better but it could be one of those highly entertaining guilty pleasures.

I'm gay and I can't wait to see this movie. Sure, it looks really cheap, but I love the 80's, slasher movies and cute boys, so why not? ;) There should be more gay themed slasher movies out there. :) Can you recommend me some?
