I didn't get it

I didn't really get what the movie was trying to say. What was the point of it all, the ending didn't really make any sense to me. Any help? Or was the director attempting to make an artistic movie without any purpose.

it was just a bad movie. 4 out of 10.

the reason they jumped is because camille, silas, and the horse were either dead or dieing, and none of them could get away.

the rice at the end was representing the rice that camille wanted to have thrown at the wedding. having rice thrown at the wedding was supposed to bring them good luck, and i guess there were saying that their luck had changed because they were in love now, so the rice is finally showering them.

It's just a nice little love story, I don't think there was any particular message. I liked it a lot up until the last 15 minutes, which I agree, was completely nonsensical.

I agree that it was a nice little love story with no particular message (thank goodness; sometimes I just want a movie without a message), but I loved the last 15 minutes - it was pure fantasy and I couldn't see it ending any other way. Too bad she had to die before Silas told her he loved her but then by that time he was dead too so it was all good - LOL!

I actually interpreted from the film that the messages were "give people a chance" and "accept someone for who they are." Silas immediately took a disliking to Camille and found her annoying. Because of that, he grew more aggravated and bitter towards her; soon enough, every little thing she did bothered him. After she died, he realized that your time with someone can be limited. Any moment, a person can be gone. He started accepting her for who she was and ended up falling in love

I really don't see how people don't get this movie. I saw the whole rice shower thing as being completely metaphorical. Both Camille and Silas were dead at that point and the rice shower was a symbol of Camille finally getting what she had always wanted (which, of course, was not really rice but actual LOVE). The message of the movie (and there definitely was a message) was that we should not be too judgmental and we should never take love (or life) for granted. This is a message that is conveyed to us constantly but this film actually did it from a unique point of view.

Coach McGuirk: All right, listen up, that was a good game. We all showed up, and I'm proud of that.
