Anyone from a small town would appreciate Ricci's white trash hotness...

Holy f____ S____. Ricci might play the single hottest role ever. She reminds me so much of the skinny white trash girls from my home town.. I guess deep down inside it's in my DNA to love chicks like this. That body of hers to go along with a nice made up butterface is the perfect combination to add a bit of realism to how these girls actually are. She plays the role perfectly.

What a good example of the degradation of American society going to Sh**. Are you saying that all American small towns are poor classless people with no sence or moral values or integrity. Knowing that the character in that movie had crabs and STDs! That chick was nasty, reminds me of the crack addict street walkers in our city ghetto.

Here we are again with the most racist comment on this post that is trying to be hidden in some read between the lines crap. Let me clear this up once and for all and very simply. All towns rural , suburban and urban have a bit of a trashy side to them. They invade all walks of life.

I was under the impression that Urban didn't necesarily mean black?

1. of, pertaining to, or designating a city or town.
2. living in a city.
3. characteristic of or accustomed to cities; citified: He is an urban type.

There is no reason to look for problems when there are none.

Well I am Australian and have little understanding on what is offensive in the states. However, I am certain the person above was using Urban in the normal, ordinary usage of the word! Stating that people in city-esque places are also trashy.

It may appear to be 'veiled' racism because it wasn't trying to be racist at all!

As a black person, I can honestly say I saw nothing racist in the word urban, since, SHOCKINGLY, not only black people live in cities...creating something outta nothing.

Yes.. Because John Travolta portrayed a Black Cowboy in the movie "Urban Cowboy"... Don't be stupid. That word has only recently even become associated with blacks. Look it up in the dictionary. Why does every word have to have racial meaning. Next "White" will be another word for black right?

Totally agree with you. I grew up around this and moved on to better things, but my roots are embedded in white trash girls. Something I can't get away from.

I think a lot of you are missing the whole point of the movie. When girls are sexually abused it teaches them to relate to men in a purely sexual way. They don't know how to have a normal, healthy relationship w/ a man. And the earlier the abuse starts and the longer it goes on, the more the girl is affected. That's why Rae acted the way she did. So she must have been abused for awhile. And when the memories came up is when she wanted to screw, it's how she numbed herself.
