I've searched for it!

I live about 12 miles away from bray road in delavan, wi. My dad had a friend that lived out on bray road. he had 3 stories dealing with it. i search for it once and a while and always on a full moon. I have yet to see it but i have smelled what people say is the smell of him. for more stories email me at [email protected] or visit www.weird-wi.com

Did it eat your father, is that why you're here? If it ate your father I'm sorry, losing family must be tough.

reply

youre not mad at me your mad at your dad i forgive you. I just have fun going to look for it. I dont sit at home all day. Why did you have to say that, what if my dead did just die. wouldnt you feel like crap?

reply

There have been numerous sightings in Northern Illinois in the past few years. My mom saw it, my aunt & cousin, and my grandmother ALL ON SEPARATE occacions!!! I have yet to see it. Why do all my relatives see it and not me!!! The author of the Bray Road Beast books has even contacted my mom and aunt (my grandma won't talk about it) It must be moving, or else there's more than one....spooky!!

reply

Agreed! My neighbor as seen it when she was driving through Walworth county a few years back. I haven't seen it though (I live on the western edge of Racine county), and drive through rural back roads in western racine and western kenosha counties all the time, at night too! (Not to often through Walowrth, but you'd assume this thing would get around.)

If I do see it I'll probably flip though, until I see it I'm a bit skeptical though.

reply

You would assume this thing gets around simply because you get around. The Beast is not a continental slut, it sticks to one place. You must concentrate your journeys now in this Walworth area, that is where it hangs out.

I grew up in Elkhorn, WI, and remember when this story first broke (I believe it was Linda Godfrey in the Walworth County Week, or perhaps the Elkhorn Independent--I went to primary school with her son), and the stories of the original first three sightings. I even almost bought a "Beast of Bray Road" t-shirt, and yes...I too have been searching for it on a full moon. When you get right down to it, though...it was originally eating road kill in one of the first sightings. Not TOO scary...

reply

i just went there today

its gay

its almost all farm land

except for near hospital road

there is on the north side of the street a huge dense forest

but still... no sign, smell, or anything of a werewolf

reply

"its gay", huh?

Impressive. I didn't know towns could have sexual orientation.

reply

I can laugh and snicker every damn time I hear about this.

Down the north end of the road sits Amon's Road Construction and Gravel pit.

I know the guy known as the beast of Bray road. Its rather funny how it actually came about. My co-worker and I were just getting off of work one day and we went to "Someplace Else" in Elkhorn, WI... little craphole Bar but anyway, we both started drinking at about 5pm and by the time we were done drinking it was about 8 or so. I wasn't drunk but my coworker was and while we were driving back to the shop at the very top of Bray road where my car was parked he pulled a wolf costume out of his back seat and threw it at me, I gave him a solidly strange reaction face the "what the f!@#" face. He pulled over to the side of the road. Threw it on over his work uniform and ran out into the woods near Bray Road. I get in the drivers seat and drive down Bray Rd trying to find my coworker and he was nowhere to be found so i just drove back to the shop got in my truck and drove home. The next morning before I went to work I flipped on the Channel 4 news and saw probably both the most shocking and funniest things I'd ever seen, he had stirred so much trouble overnight that Channel 4 sent out a news team to cover a mysterious werewolf claim. Apparently many locals who live on that road had seen what seemed to be a gigantic wolf running around in both the woods and the fields. The great thing about it being that it was just my drunk coworker running around in the woods near Bray Road.

End of crappy Legend

^^you are a moron

reply

I am a moron how? Please atleast make your claim with a reason why I am moron. This is in the account, what truly happened. But as far as me being a moron, I suppose thats your call.

Except, as I recall, when the news stations broke the story, they interviewed three separate people who had reported seeing the beast on different days and different times, stretching back over quite a length of time, and the news story cited reports that had come in to the Humane Society over this time...including a 12 year-old girl who saw it in broad daylight while she was sledding. I also remember them interviewing an African American woman who had seen it eating the road kill (as I remember it, anyway.)

Now...I don't think I believe in the story and fully support a costume hoax--but one night doesn't account for all of the sightings...or even the first sightings, for that matter.

Of course, for a more accurate history, you could go to Amazon and buy the book. (And that's not a plug...I decided against the purchase, myself.)

reply

So, OpprotunityCalls (sic), you were out drinking in a bar w/ your friend in 1999 (the year of the first sighting) when you were just 16 years old?

reply

OpportunityCalls is a complete moron. I myself saw nothing and believe if i go agian i will see nothing. But i do believe there is something our there. Hopefully we can catch a glimpse of it.

reply

Good catch Chicken hahahaahahha...

I have a real hard time believeing there is anything in the area like that. I work night shift, so I've driven around the are a lot at night. I've hiked around a lot in the area. The scariest thing I've ever seen is deer. I know real scary (sarcasm.)

Patience is a virtue. You just might catch a glimsp of the Bray Road Beast. I myself wouldn't mind catching a glimso of a legendary creature that others have seen. I saw the movie this evening on Sci Fi. I went and checked the interent for some useful sights of informatoion on the Beast OIf Bray Road.

reply

I have to say the person who claims that it was their drunk friend, well real nice to leave your drunk friend abandoned in the forest, in a wolf costume. I beleive in the BoBR and am proud, lol.

Oz-HaHa I've been shot it's really werid... And painful.

reply

I have never understood why there are people who lie like this. I guess its from some sad disfunctional upbringing that allows someone to go out of their way to draw attention to themselves due to a lack of attention they never received.
