Based on actual accounts?

They said this movie is based on actual werewolf accounts. Does anyone know if this actually happened or did they just make it up?

reply

Really happened. I saw it on "In Search Of." Practically everyone in the town had repeatedly seen a "werewolf" on Bray Road at night, and there were so many accounts of it that the sheriffs are all required to carry silver bullets.

reply

You're sh-ttin' me, really?

Silver bullets, no kidding? That's hilarious...and sad at the same time :)

Suppose there are werewolves...probably not, but in all likelihood they're mortal, like all living things--regular bullets should do just fine :)

Heck if I were them I'd use the silver nitrate bullets like in Underworld.

Better carry some teflon bullets just in case their skin is armored (snicker)

Now I'm gonna get calls from lots of angry Bray county police :P

I would also venture that they're allergic to fire...and they're probably powerless without their heads :)

Ok, I'm done bashing local legends...for now :)

Yep, I'm from Whitewater which is very close to Bray Road. A lot of people claim to have seen the creature. I actually tend to believe this one is true, a lot of really weird *beep* goes on around there (do some research on Whitewater and the occult, it's considered the second Salem) and a lot of the people who swear they've seen it are very sane, usually very skeptical people.

reply

does anyone know where the movie was filmed cause it doesnt really seem like wiscosnin. alot of the people seem to have southern accents, and in the bar there is a miller lite sign in the shape of texas and a longhorn hanging next to texas state license plates. ive heard alot of stuff about the beast of bray road and have wanted to go out looking for it. perfect time of the year and all being around halloween. ill investigate and get back.

reply

I was wondering where it was filmed too. Hope someone can answer this.

Yeah, and people claim the same thing about Bigfoot. So what? Without physical proof, such eyewitness accounts are not very credible. Such sightings are much more likely to be based on misinterpretation or hoaxes rather than some unknown "creature." Whatever happened to critical thinking?

reply

It's very easy to discount something like this until you actually speak with or hear from those who have experienced it. It's my choice to believe there could be some validity to this one because I trust the people I've heard from. Whatever happened to open-mindedness?

reply

It's good to be open-minded but not to the point at where your brain falls out. Werewolves? Come on people. I know that nobody in this country believes in science anymore, but really.

reply

Very few people who've seen it are saying it's a werewolf, how about learn the story before commenting on it. What they've described is similar to the usual description of a werewolf, but they're not saying it's a human that turns into an animal, just a strange creature.

Based on actual accounts...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA.OH Man. Who ever wrote this movie...thinks people would really*Believe*..this actually happened!
I can write a movie like this...and say*Based on true events*..or*Based on actual happenings*. I write stories for the fun of it. But if someone wants to write a fiticious phony horror film like this..and believe it..so be it. But who ever believes in "werewolfs"..is like believing in "vampires"..is a blasted lunie. But people can believe whatever they want. Lunie as it is.

reply

The movie was complete *beep* none of it was even remotely close to what has happened, and it portrayed people from Southern Wisconsin in a really bad light (ok, a lot of people here deserve it, but most do not). Like I said, look into the actual stories. As I stated in my previous post, they're not saying it's a werewolf.

reply

As I stated...HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA. Whomever believe in such nonsense..well needs to look around them. Open your eyes. This is the REAL WORLD. Believing in werewolfs..needs psychological help. But as I also stated..people can believe what they want. Do any of you believe in vampies..werewolves..ghosts..and etc...etc? Well this is Halloween..time to have fun. People who believes in these things...makes me laugh.

reply

Wow, you don't listen do you? As I've repeated a number of time, IT'S NOT A *beep* WEREWOLF. NO ONE'S SAYING IT IS. Hopefully you'll see it now that I've typed it in caps.

reply

According to IMDB it was filmed in Topanga Canyon in California.

I live about maybe..12 mins from Bray road. It happened when I was in high school.

There were maybe 2 or 3 sightings of something. The first happened when a group drove at night and saw some animal sitting up on its hind legs eating a road killed rabbit. It held it in its front paws thats why they stopped. It growled at them and jumped at their car and ran off leaving a few faint marks on the hood. At least that was the rumor. The story went around school for a good month and after that there were a couple short sightings of something moving fast though the woods near Bray road and across it but nothing was ever caught or photographed.

I did manage to buy a "I saw the Beast of Bray Road" tee shirt when i was in Junior class with a poorly drawn werewolf on it.

This movie however is a rip off. No one here acts like that..and I have yet to meet anyone named "Zeke"

reply

The creature really was seen several times in the early '90's. No one knows what it was. No one was actually hurt or killed by it, though several people claimed it tried to attack them. The movie, however, is entirely made up and has nothing to do with the real events.

reply

Actual Accounts?

LMAO....don't think there were any heads reported ripped off in Cheeseland....but what the Hell?

reply

I live in Elkhorn....and yeah alot of people over here have moved away because of this so called Wereman or whatever.....Personally I dont believe in it I have to frive on Bray Road everyday to get to work, I have NEVER seen even a trace of it.

reply

lol i know someone named 'zeek'

anyways i live in alaska, and when i lived in the capital i got attacked by i guess it was a bear lol, but it looked a hell of alot like a human and moved way damn fast lol, i got slashed on my arm (got a scar too) but i lucked out and it ended up jumping a deer (why the hell it didn't run when i started screaming and running through the woods who knows)

lol scared the *beep* out of me at that age, i ran around screaming werewolf and stayed inside for a long time, oh i was 6 lol.

reply

There were some actually accounts. Now, did anyone really die from this creature; no, but it was seen and I think there were also some photographs taken.

Pick Up a copy of Linda Godfrey's book, I've read it her follow up Hunting the American Werewolf and enjoyed both. Do I believe theres some wolf creature out there, I don't know, but it sure is fun to read about.
