reply

you gotta be *beep* kidding me!!!
oh man that totally sucks!!!!!!!!
man now im superpissed!

this was such an amazing show, it had such great potential. But that's TV for you, get rid of all the good stuff. That's their moto.

Dude, you can't just hit a drum, you hafta beat the shiit out of it!

What a shame no second season

reply

FX, I hope you're listening: You canceled one of the most original shows I've seen on TV in quite a while. The writing was incredible. I guess you'd rather run crappy re-runs of "fear factor" and "dharma and greg". Well, that's your HUGE mistake. I hope another network picks up this highly original show, and beats you in that time slot.

reply

I couldn't agree more! "Starved" and "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" were two of my favorite shows! I can't believe they're gone!

reply

ummm I'm pretty sure they only dropped this and kept "It's Always Sunny."

reply

this sucks because in Canada, where I live, our Showcase network is JUST picking up Starved and running it starting March 1st I think..why chould we watch it if there's no chance of a second season..kinda like Dead Like Me..they're showing both seasons..after the US network canelled it

reply

I've been watching a marathon of this show for like the last two hours, it was a good show. It sucks that it wasn't picked up for another season, there's so few good shows on TV as it is.

reply

i've also just been watching it the night or march 4th for the first time and it was an amzing concept for a show i got really into to it....it seems evreytime a good show is on tv it gets cancelled... IE "freaks & geeks". this is why i hate tv, it allways ends up dissapointing me.

last night i watched that marathon..all 7 episodes! i had never seen it before but by the end of the first episode i was hooked and it is one of the best shows i've ever seen....funny, romantic, dramatic, original, nd truly captivating...i can't believe they're canceling it!! i hope some other network picks it up, or maybe that FX will change their minds, i just hope last night was not the last i ever see of starved!

IT'S NOT OK!!! ...that this fantastic show was cancelled. I love every minute of it, and I've watched it all the way through several times. So funny! The characters, writing and acting are really, really great. PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!!

reply

I just watched all 7 episodes of the 1st season last night on FX. Not only had I never seen an episode before, but I had never even heard of it. But omigoodness! How hilariously fresh was it?! I laughed, I cried, I was so disgusted at times I couldn't even look at the screen (especially episode 2). But c'mon...I want MORE! Will Billie ever let him in? How will these relationships progress? What will happen at Fat Camp? Oh my! Do NOT leave me hanging, FX!!

reply

I just got onto this thread because I was wondering about Starved and decided to search it. I am disappointed, of course. The networks all screw good shows in preference of stuff that appeals to all of the automatons in couch potato land.
Does anyone remember the show "Action" with Jay Mohr? That was a great show. Also, HBO getting rid of "Carnivale"?!?!?!

Well, all I have to say is that I am waiting for vidcasts to blow up. Theres already some good stuff happening without worry of corporate entities yet but they are all independently budgeted which hurts. Oh well.

I saw most of the marathon last weekend almost by accident. I never knew this show was out there. That marathon was great and to know there will be no more episodes sucks. How can we get them to change their minds?

reply

Hey, if they could bring the original Star Trek back from the grave back in the day, we should be able to bring back Starved. That show was possibly the best show I've seen. To be honest, I didn't think a network such as FX was even capable of producing one episode of a show so great. Apparently I wasn't too far off the mark if they aren't going to pick it up.

The funniest Show on TV!!!! Let's petitition to get it back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m so depressed that it isn’t coming back but I had a feeling it wouldn’t just because I’m sure it did cause uproar with certain groups. My mother and I have been waiting for it’s return since it first aired, we never missed an episode. When they first advertised I wanted to watch because both my mother and I have had eating problems and we weren’t offended by it at all. I think it was a great show that might even have helped people with eating disorders because it makes them take a step back at look at what other people see or don’t see. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a pretty funny show but if I had to choose I would have liked FX to keep Starved instead. I mean why did they have to get rid of one anyway all they show are reruns on that channel, I mean how many times can you watch that 70’s show in a row before you lose your mind.

I am so tired of all the best shows getting cancelled! Controversy is good - it gets people thinking! ("Crash", anyone?)First, it was "The Job", now it's Arrested Development", "Book of Daniel" & "Starved". "It's Always Sunny" was AWFUL & unwatchable. I cannot believe FX chose it over "Starved".I was so pleased with Fox & FX for having shows like "Rescue Me","30 Days" & "Prison Break". I am very disappointed that we won't see more "Starved".

reply

That sucks so bad. I looooooooooooved this show. I don't understand why it would get cancelled!!!! Maybe because the subjects were too touchy for people to deal with....whimps

reply

I'll admit it was a funny show but I couldn't watch anymore of that episode when dude started talkin about how he let some girl poke around in his ass.
