Julia L. Dreyfus is too thin for this role

I just didn't buy her in the role of the hot mess with that ridiculously fit body.

She owns a gym.

That she shows up to in a dress and sits at her desk the whole time. Then goes home, sits in front of the TV, eats unhealthy food, and drinks like a fish.

I know yet she still needed Barb's help to get her "into shape." Hence the issue--all the "jokes" about her being out of shape, unhealthy, "losing her figure after child bearing," etc.
Like 😒 "Ma'am, we can see the definition in your triceps. This isn't working."

There's MANY a reason why a person could be Insecure, Neurotic, low self esteem,...but SUPERFICIALLY when I look at her, YEAH I agree with you:):)

But her comedic acting pulls it off with ease ironically.

I don't agree with a Joke I heard once but I do find it quite funny (OK Hilarious),

"Show me a Super Fine Woman,..and I'll show you a dude that's tired of her." It's a little dirtier than that but I think you get the gist? Maybe it's the joke that allows me to enjoy her "Acting"? She's great on Seinfeld and that HBO VP show too.

Well, that's what they mean by authors taking "creative license" (and it's not really that far-fetched - she certainly has a nice figure, but is not stick thin like so many other actresses her age and across the spectrum).
