Took me a while! Seriously watched every episode in a few weeks. I laugh out loud each episode..the writing and acting is so funny!! I cried laughing tears watching it! I don't understand how some people hate the show so much..you can't take it too seriously, it is a sitcom! Christine's tragic life has made for a hilarious show. I do wish they could have had a better ending though, like an official final episode.
shareI agree. I'm guessing most who don't like it have never actually watched it. Because I never watched it when it was on air because Julia was in it and I hated Seinfeld. Then a few years ago I watched one episode and was hooked! I've seen them all several times now. Like most great shows, it is perfectly cast. I wouldn't change not one character. They are all brilliant in their part. I only feel guilty that I didn't give it the chance while it was still airing. I wish it had lasted more than 4 seasons. To me it was good as friends and Reba (my other 2 favorite sitcoms.
shareI just discovered it about 2 weeks ago when I flipped through my guide and saw TVLand was airing the pilot at like 1am, with another episode following, and on Sundays they do marathons in the wee hours. Had always wanted to see it so took the opportunity to watch from episode 1; and I LOVE it! She is hilarious in this show. I’ve only known her as Elaine, but she’s so good in this – hmm…maybe better than Elaine(?). I’m currently about to watch the Season 3 premiere after only 2 weeks. Can’t get enough.
My date last night was awful. And then he wouldn't even spend the night.
Congratulations on discovering the show, it is great to see that it is still developing a fan base.
shareI'd give Christine the Nod over Elaine because she was the primary character in Christine, thus more attention was towards her and she flourished.
Elaine on her best days (the Dance Episode, George as a Virus) was slightly funnier than Christine but there were a few episodes in Seinfeld I didn't find that funny. All of Christine's episodes were funny to me. So I give the nod to Christine.
I thought it was a solid show. But later in the series I thought the relationship with her brother got weird.
