Show is Ending, Why?

Season 10 is set to be the final season of Bridezillas. Why?

reply

Because there's only so much you could do with it at this point. Plus I heard the ratings for the 9th season were terrible (I wasn't surprised). The show was way better and more shocking in the beginning. Now it's grasping at straws.

I sometimes don't read the bottom of posts because I think it's a signature.

I believe its b/c the show has gotten so disturbing. They glorify physical, emotional and mental abuse. It's not funny or enjoyable to watch anymore. Seeing women abuse their future husbands and family by cursing them out, humiliating them in front of others is just simply not amusing. I was done w/this show a while ago. They had it right the first couple of seasons then it went down hill right along with the trashy people they continue to feature. I'm almost done w/WE TV period. Their newest show is Pregnant and Dating. They are turning their viewers off w/continued offensive programming

I have to agree. This show and many others that WE tries to push, are just plain trash. This whole channel is horrible. Up until recently, there were only three shows I would watch on this channel; Roseanne, The Locator, and 20/20. Then they dumped The Locator, and 20/20, and all that's left is Roseanne now.

Push Girls was OK when it was on Sundance, but I have to wonder what happened to it that it's not on there anymore, and WE has picked it up.

All in all, I can't say that WE impresses me as a quality channel. The fact that they're airing this disgusting program, "Pregnant and Dating," pretty much sums up once again, what kind of a channel WE is striving to be: TRASH.

I would ask what are they thinking by bringing this "program" to their channel, but looking at the rest of their programming, I already know the answer. They aren't thinking!

So, as to why Bridezillas is FINALLY ending? Because it's trash programming, and as others have said, it was once amusing (8 or so years ago) but now it's just pathetic and offensive.

If they think this kind of programming is what women (intelligent women) want to watch, they're wrong.

I've attempted to watch this show & I just can't. The way these girls act is just aweful.

I'm sad as well that the show is ending. It's not like there's a shortage of freakish brides out there! And I just can't stomach Boot Camp...

reply

The brides have gone over the edge, that bad Girls Club one and the one that featured a producer of Bridezillas was just painful to watch

reply

Ugh. I just saw a bride who made her groom get his taint waxed.

Get me a bromide! And put some gin in it!

I remember that one! was he the groom that agreed to do it so she didn't put their initials on the cake so they said BJ?

reply

Because it is boring and repetitive. And I have a suspicion most of it is scripted.

Why is it being cancelled? Are you kidding? I'd like to know why it wasn't cancelled years ago? It's actually lasted as long as one of the best tv shows ever made--M*A*S*H. I don't get it. Thank God it's finally being cancelled.

This show has always done the same thing over and over and over again--find an incredibly overweight woman (nothing against overweight women but they exploit the worst examples of that and make overweight women look incredibly bad) who is built like and acts like a Sherman tank, watch her stomp around crying and yelling at everyone including some poor sap that she is marrying who sits there and says "Yes dear" and wonder why he isn't telling her to cut the crap and get lost or why he goes through with marrying her at all. These guys must be desperate or they do not have any sense of self-respect.

I can remember about four years ago, the WE channel was sending me letters begging me to contact my cable provider and beg them to keep WE in there basic channel lineup and saying, tearfully, how their network was going to get cancelled if I didn't help them! I just thought "good!". WE means "Women's Entertainment". It's supposed to appeal to women through more intelligent programming but most of what is on this network is garbage.
