I'm interested in renting or buying this film.
Does anyone know where I could get my hands on a copy?
I live in Australia to.
I think it's coming on tv, sbs, in February.

I don't think it will be on DVD. It's only one hour. Who's hear of a DVD with just one hour of programming on it.
shareThere are plenty of DVD's available with short programs on them so i'm sure you would be able to get "Stranded" try SBS online or I think "Dymocks" bookshops sell ABC and SBS DVD's and merchandise.
shareI agree loads of stuff shorter than an hour come onto DVD (e.g. Harvie Krumpet), sometimes coupled with another film or with a lot of extras.
I'm not sure about this one - it would take a while anyway.
I am also keeping an eye out as I missed it on television (stupid me). I'm also hoping it will show again...
I loved this movie too, short as it was - but it has been nominated for a award in the AFI Awards for Best Short Form.
I keep checking SBS shop and dymocks and also JB Hi Fi, but nothing yet. I also emailed the production group that funded stranded, they said they would email me back with the release date.
Personally, I'm hoping it shows again on regular tv before hand.
Your wish has come true. Stranded will be on SBS at 10.00pm on 23/8/. Very unusual as it was only on a few months back.

Yep. I only caught the last 10 mins last time it was on.
SO I just watched it then on SBS.
So damn good. 50mins ws just enough to really convey the story.
Everything about it was so spot on. Even the music was top stuff.
Was very authentically Australian as well.
Just the way everyone interacted & the language used.
Hope the director gets to make a feature film.
Highly reccomended.

Sorry. It isn't not on their site yet, but I called them and they confirmed they are working on it and that it should be ready in a few weeks.

I just looked at Ronin Films pricing structure.
I think its a little ridiculous, paying $745.00 for 'Stranded'. Thats how much State Libarys have to pay to buy it.
Does anybody else agree?

$50 is far too much, what are they thinking? That really is a lot of money. Perhaps some libraries will get it?
