I've got this film on DVD, and I had some friends come to Melbourne from Canada. and I showed this to them (cutting off the end credits). And actually had them believing it was real! heheheh.

I even took them to some of the places featured in the movie, such as FLinders St.

nice. apart from lifting the concept, my only other real gripe with this film is the end credits. spend nearly 90 minutes pretending to be a documentary in order to freak people out and then go and spoil it in an instant.
