I am a huge fan of Coupland but I think he took the easy way out and just copied way too much stuff off jPod. Like the mom and dad growing pot, the real estate brother giving him an apartment etc. I was still a good movie but he could've made the script a bit more original...

jPod is a book that Copland wrote before he wrote this movie, and after this movie was made jPod was adapted into a TV series for the CBC in Canada, which was canceled after 13 episodes ...wish we got it in the states, probably would have lasted longer.

I was gonna start this thread. There are way to many similaritie's. The brother (same thing pretty much, real estate agent etc) and the similaritie's are beyond the book, there are similarities between the shows as well. Like the empty skyscraper, older brother on park bench as real estate salesmen. Then the parents growing weed etc. I was really starting to like copeland but am now wondering how many original idea's he really has.
