I watched this movie recently and it really moved and upset me..I just have one question, what happened to the little filipino girl, the one the american girl befriended? I know she was sick(fever?) Then the filipino guy and the fat guy took her outside, and she suddenly started moving, and then it looked like they snapped her neck??Or did they throw her into the sea? Anyway that scene looked really cruel and disturbing.

Excuse me, but do you really think they would of had the medical knowledge or training to make that diagnosis? This is a disease that I have heard of but never seen so would not recognize it myself.

Perhaps he didn't know that she was going to be a sex slave. There have been lots of cases where parents/relatives are told that the person would be domestic help, have plenty to eat, and will receive an education. I think that sometimes deep down inside the parents/relatives know there is the possibility but bope it's not so in their case. Because they are so poor and cannot afford to care for the person, hoping for the better helps to ease their consciences.
